Pediatrics places their focus on the newborn child,
the mother and the family at this amazing time of bringing
a child into the world. We bring over 30 years of pediatric
experience to you and your child. Our offices offer
24 hour, 7 day a week availability for newborns, separate
sick and well waiting and exam rooms, as well as newborn
exam rooms that offer the comfort of glider rocking
chairs. Most of all, we offer care and concern for the
whole family.
The
Interview Process
If you wish to interview the staff of NWP, we encourage
you to make an appointment a few months before delivery.
Our appointments are individual sessions with the family
and doctors, and occur at 5:00 p.m. each evening to
ensure a focus on your needs. We will discuss the following
and more with you at this time:

Review and understanding of immunizations

Pro’s and con’s of circumcision

Guidance and insight on breast and formula feeding
- Pro’s
and con’s of daycare

Expertise and care of NWP
On
the Day of Birth
On the same day the baby is born, we will visit the
mother and child in the hospital that evening. At that
time we will provide:

Well-being examination
-
Take home care instructions
-
Guidance and insights on feeding – either breast
or formula
-
If desired by the family, circumcision with local
anesthesia
Regular
Newborn Visits
After departure from the hospital, your baby will be
seen in the first 4 to 7 days. From there, you will
bring your baby in at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months,
9 months and 1 year. During these visits we will discuss
the following:

Behavioral issues

Sibling acceptance and well-being
